Ferrol is a city located in the northwest corner of Spain. The city is situated on a bay that leads out into the Atlantic Ocean and the natural harbor is one of the largest in the country. Navy base here was built in the 1700s and is still one of the most important. In 2010, there were nearly 75 000 people in Ferrol.
Ferrol can tempt you with several beaches, including beach Caranza which is very popular in summer. Dominos beach is less shielded and therefore exposed to some wind, making it suitable for surfers. It is recommended to visit the maritime museum in the city.
